After we left the gym where we dropped off Chris we went to Walmart and picked up some clear jars, puffy paint, and some candy. I wanted to give the kids something to look at to count down the days until Chris comes home. They decorated their jars and then we counted the candy for the length of time Chris was going to be gone and each day they get to eat one candy and by the time it is gone he will be home. It was a really good idea my friend gave me. I think it helped take their mind off of things. They did a great job on their jars and were excited to wake up this morning and eat one candy.
