We left for our great adventure to Sam Houston National Forest on Jan 2 for a fun camping trip. We rented a camper from on post. The first 2 days were freezing with highs only reaching in the 40's but the last 2 days were much better. We all had a great time. Most of our cooking was done over the fire. We rode our bikes a lot and took some short hikes and even did a bit of fishing although we never caught anything. I even got to take my first shot at casting a fishing pole only because Nate made me do it. It was fun though I admit it. In the evenings we loved sitting around the fire roasting "parshpellows" as Nate called them(translation marshmellows) playing games in the camper and just being together as a family. We thought Ethan was going to be very difficult but he did pretty good. Other than he was terrified of the fire so he didn't stay up for the camp fires at night. Enjoy the pictures!!
